Eligibility
Rheumatologists certified by the Royal College, the American Board, or IMGs who obtain Royal College equivalency
International applicants
International Medical Graduates eligible if they obtain equivalency from the Royal College of Canada
Visa support
Institution policyinternational trainees need an IRCC work permit (LMIA-exempt); the uOttawa PGME/immigration advisor provides the documents needed to apply (CPSO letter of eligibility and LMIA-exemption number)
Licence requirement
Institution policyCPSO postgraduate education (educational) certificate of registration required, renewed annually; internationally trained clinical fellows must complete a 4-12 week Pre-Entry Assessment Program (PEAP); three-year licensure limit for clinical fellowships
