International applicants
Welcomes domestic and international fellows; sponsored fellows must apply via sponsoring agencies with an active PGME educational contract; English proficiency evidence (IELTS Academic 7.0 in each band or OET Medicine grade B) required where medical school was not primarily in English.
Visa support
After acceptance, the PGME office provides instructions for applying for a work permit.
Licence requirement
Educational licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA), arranged through PGME after acceptance.

Now accepting applications for 2027–2028 positions; Rolling offers for 1 July starts: Canadian graduates should apply at least 10–12 months before 1 July; international medical graduates at least 18–24 months before 1 July.

Online application form with CV, personal letter and three reference letters emailed by referees to radiology.fellowship@ucalgary.ca; sponsored trainees apply via their sponsoring agency through the PGME office.
