Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Residents and doctors must be employed full time; eligible clinical-year students may also apply. For starts after 1 April 2027: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 68 / PBT 525, or JLPT N3, unless exempt under the published language rule. Department prerequisites also apply.

- Open to international applicants subject to institutional/country quotas and departmental approval

- Short-term visa documentation may be requested from the International Center; entry approval is not guaranteed

- Observational only; participation does not confer a Japanese medical licence
