Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Completion of a general psychiatry residency in an ACGME-accredited, AOA-approved, ACGME-I Advanced Specialty-accredited, RCPSC- or CFPC-accredited programme; final-year residents welcome; qualified for ABPN psychiatry certification
- International applicants
- Open to international applicants; graduates of medical schools outside the US/Canada must hold ECFMG certification before appointment
- Visa support
- Mayo Clinic supports ECFMG J-1 and H-1B sponsorship (J-1 requires an ACGME-accredited/recognised programme; no new H-1B petitions requiring the US$100,000 payment); final visa type at Mayo's discretion
- Licence requirement
- Fellows must obtain and maintain an appropriate medical licence while enrolled
