Eligibility and visa

- Under 45; completed general ophthalmology residency; preference for applicants with a completed subspecialty fellowship and research record; fluent English
- International applicants
- Yes - track of the CUHK-HKEH-PWH International Ophthalmology Fellowship Programme for overseas and mainland Chinese ophthalmologists (recent fellows from the Philippines, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and others)
- Visa support
- Training visa required; CUHK-HKEH-PWH assists with training visa and limited medical registration but cannot guarantee outcome (allow ~10 months)
- Licence requirement
- Limited medical registration (Medical Council of Hong Kong) for clinical fellowships; not required for laboratory fellowships
