Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
At least 4 years of specialty training, an acceptable medical degree, Part 1 College examination or UK equivalent, and a relevant postgraduate specialty qualification. For the GMC sponsorship route: full-time clinical work in 10 of the preceding 12 months and clinical work in 3 of the preceding 5 years; IELTS at least 7.0 in every component and 7.5 overall, or OET B in every component, within 2 years before GMC application. Applicants already registered with the GMC have an alternative entry route. Review all conditions with GOSH.
International applicants
For doctors resident overseas when applying, with home-organisation funding and an intention to return after their visa expires; subject to selection
Visa support
Visa and pre-employment processes follow a conditional offer; confirm the applicable route with GOSH
Licence requirement
GMC registration and authorised clinical scope required; GOSH offers a GMC sponsorship route for eligible candidates
