Eligibility and visa

- Institution policyMD from FAIMER/IMED-listed school, specialist certificate recognised in home country, sufficient French, CMQ requirements met, and proof of non-private bursary of at least CAD 40,000/yr (CAD 50,000 from 1 Jul 2028)

- Foreign physicians admitted as 'moniteurs cliniques' via Université de Montréal Postdoctoral Medical Studies (start process at least 12 months ahead); sufficient French is mandatory (TEF or equivalent if not exempt)
- Visa support
- Institution policyFellows (moniteurs) from outside Canada need a temporary work permit; Université de Montréal provides the job-offer letter submitted to IRCC
