- IMGs in a US or Canadian residency must have passed USMLE Steps I–III (not required for Medical Council of Canada licensees), have 4 years of ACGME/RCPSC-accredited postgraduate training and qualify for a CA medical licence.

- Must be US citizen/permanent resident or eligible for an ECFMG-sponsored J-1 visa (reviewed by the GME Dean's office).
