Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Current trainee in an overseas EM programme, EM consultant, or consultant in another specialty with ≥12 months EM experience; ≥3 years postgraduate training incl. internship and ≥1 year EM training; institutional sponsor in home country; acceptable IELTS/OET
- International applicants
- Yes – only for doctors based in non-EEA countries; priority to DfID priority and low/lower-middle income countries; must return home after placement
- Visa support
- Tier 5 (Government Authorised Exchange) visa with Certificate of Sponsorship from the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges
- Licence requirement
- RCEM sponsorship for full GMC registration without PLAB (not available to those who have failed PLAB)
