Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
Neurosurgery or orthopaedic resident who has completed specialist training and intends a significant subspecialty spine practice. General: MBBS or equivalent; national licensing exam passed; 12 months housemanship; registered and in good standing at home; active clinical practice; 3 years post-housemanship experience or postgraduate diploma/degree; sponsored by government, regional health authority or home institution; 2 recommendation letters; SMC English requirements
International applicants
Yes - NNI assists overseas fellows to obtain SMC temporary registration and Training Employment Pass
Visa support
NNI assists with Training Employment Pass (TEP) from the Ministry of Manpower after SMC approval
Licence requirement
Temporary medical registration with the Singapore Medical Council; malpractice indemnity (MPS)
