Eligibility and visa
- Eligibility
- Completed PM&R residency (some fellowships open to complementary specialties or family medicine); board certified or board eligible before starting
- International applicants
- Yes — international applicants accepted; positions offered initially to Canadian citizens/PRs per immigration rules. IMGs must pass the CPSO Pre-Entry Assessment Program (PEAP, 4-12 weeks), have degree source-verified via physiciansapply.ca and, if training was not in English, TOEFL-iBT 93 (speaking 24) or IELTS Academic 7.0 in each band. Gulf-sponsored applicants (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE) apply via UofT PGME STAR.

- Limited Division-funded positions; applicants advised to seek own institutional/government funding. Non-Canadian self/sponsor-funded fellows need minimum CAD $85,564.01 per year (PGY-3 scale, from 1 July 2025)
