Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
Learners who have interest and intention in pursuing cardiothoracic anaesthesia as a subspecialty. Learners with prior experience in cardiothoracic anaesthesia, for example during residency training, are preferred; Department requirement: Proficiency in placement of invasive catheters for haemodynamic monitoring is an advantage
International applicants
Yes - SGH fellowship and attachment programmes are offered to foreign doctors for short-term clinical training (more than 1000 international doctors since 2000)
Visa support
Training Employment Pass application with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) upon successful SMC Temporary Registration
Licence requirement
Temporary Registration (for training) with the Singapore Medical Council
