Fulfilled FRCS(C) requirements and an independent Ontario medical licence
International applicants
Exceptional candidates from outside Canada considered if they show surgical potential and are self-funded
Visa support
Institution policyinternational clinical fellows need an IRCC work permit; the PGME Office issues an LMIA-exempt offer of employment number and supports the work permit application
Licence requirement
Certificate of registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO); internationally trained physicians must complete the 4–12-week Pre-Entry Assessment Program (PEAP) before full acceptance (department application guidelines)
