Overview

A VIR fellowship based mainly at Toronto General Hospital training fellows in advanced angiographic and non-vascular abdominal interventions in adults, with a one-year clinical track and a fully funded two-year research/clinical track.

Eligibility and visa

Eligibility
Proficient in written and spoken English; completed an accredited radiology training programme; certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Imaging, American Board of Radiology certified/eligible, or equivalent qualifications (CPSO uses the GMC directory to recognise specialty certification).
International applicants
Eligible with equivalent radiology certification; Sponsored positions available for trainees funded by agencies from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and UAE.
Visa support
Institution policyinternational clinical fellows need an IRCC work permit; the PGME Office issues an LMIA-exempt offer of employment number and supports the work permit application
Licence requirement
Institution policyclinical fellows must hold a CPSO certificate of registration authorising postgraduate education (educational licence); research fellows do not need CPSO registration

Applicants must secure CAD $85,564.01/annum as training salary; positions are Funded (supervisor, hospital, grant, endowment or international agency) or Sponsored (agencies from Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE only); self-funding from personal funds is not acceptable.
